Ok so as usual we have not updated our Blog in a while but this has been a really long time since we have done anything!
To keep you in the loop on our lives I will give you a run down of events.
*We have been working with national partners trying to start some active work in our city. This is a huge blessing and an answer to all our prayers.
*We have two new teammates that are a wonderful addition to our team. They will definitely help improve things on this end.
*We had to leave the country for visa renewal and we took advantage of that and decided to take a vacation as well. This was much needed and a wonderful relaxing time with our family.
M went to Russia on business and meet a ton of College workers there. It was cold, dark, and the only country I have been too where I have been mistaken for a National. T stayed home with the dog and took care of business on the home front. I arrived in my home city and twelve hours later we left for Europe.
We then both went on vacation to France and then to Italy that was wonderful and you would be amazed how your concept of hotels change. We stayed in a small room with a shower (hot water), and a bed. There was not much room for anything else and we thought we were at the Peabody. Really, we have bad hotels and they are expensive in my country.
On the way home we had a layover in Istanbul, Turkey so we took full advantage. We toured the city for a few hours, took some pictures, ate some food (McDonald's Big Mac, Half a quarter pounder T ate the other half) and we bought a t-shirt.
We then returned home and three days later flew out to Nepal for business. We do like to keep our schedule busy these days.
Now we are home trying to recover. T got a little sick from our housing in Nepal. It was rather chilly at night and she now has a cough. She is getting over it so I guess all is well. Oh just to let you know what our hotels are like here. I cleaned my own toilet seat, no hot water, and one day the water pipe broke in our bathroom and flooded it. We bring our own sheets!
Anyway, we are traveling often, especially during the summer but we love our job and Love working with College students. Take care everyone. We really do work hard I promise. Everyone needs a brake sometime and I hope you enjoyed the photos. :)
