Cupcakes, Icing, Sugar & Parties

My oldest turned 4!! She is so precious.  Her sensitive, caring personality is showing itself more and more all the time.  I love her simple faith and desire to be with people.  She is loving toward her friends and family and likes to make people proud.  Such a first child, but I love it.  I see more of myself in her all the time.  Some of those things aren't so good but other things just make me laugh.  We love her so much!  Not too long ago I was driving and heard a new to me song by Mark Schultz called "what it means to be loved" and I just started crying.  It reminded me of the amazing Grace that God showed us with her and all the struggles during our pregnancy.  God Loves her and has an amazing plan for her life.  I'm so thankful for her life and pray daily that she will know His love & grace for her and fall deeply in love with Him.

Well this precious girl wanted a cupcake party for her "friends" party.  We took her to the aquarium for her "family" party.  So we set up the house with cupcakes, invited her friends and had a great time.  This was the first party I really felt was focused on entertaining the kids instead of just hanging out with my friends while the kids played.  We had a play dough cupcake decorating station, a real cupcake decorating station, played pin the rose on the cupcake, played pass the parcel, and musical statues.  WHEW I was tired when it was over but everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.  Party success till next Oct when Abs turns 3.
