I felt completely supported, encouraged and blessed to have not one but two showers for my little boys. Can't explain how amazing it feels to know so many people are excited to meet them and holding us up in prayer and support as we bring them home. This last year has been a stressful and emotional journey for us. God has been faithful all the way from providing for us financially and materially but most of all through our amazing friends and family who have been cheering and reminding us the whole way that God is in this and leading us. I'm grateful beyond words for everything everyone has done to make this reunion and the extension of our family possible.
Last Saturday my friends, mainly American, that live here had a shower for us. Not only did they shower me with amazing gifts for the boys but they also covered our family in prayer and that means more to me than anything! I felt so loved and encouraged during that time. It was aslo a time that reminded me how God has answered so many of our prayers during this process. I can trust Him to answer the rest and provide us with everything we need as we proceed to bring home these precious boys.
Then on Tuesday night my mainly English friends had another shower for me. It was a fun night with yummy cupcakes and silly games...spit the dummy into the bowl was a huge laugh! OH i was the only one who at least got the dummy in the bowl by the way ;). They also did this clever game where everyone made an poem, wish or encouragement for the boys with the letters of their names. It was definitely something I'll keep for them.
I'm so thankful for how everyone has given to our boys. I"m no longer a house with just girl toys and dinosaurs (adelynn's choice of toys), but finally have tools, trains and cars to add to the collection. Oh and an Ergo baby carrier so I can get out with all my littles. 3 under 3 and an almost 5 year old need all the help i can get :)
Here is a fun quiz we did at both showers. Have a go.... (answers at the bottom in small print)
